Clean Harbors is looking for a Laboratory Manager for our Rollinsford, NH location.

The Laboratory Manager is responsible for oversight of employees ensuring the complex analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties.  The Lab Manager oversees all lab operations and integration with other parts of the company/facility. To include

Wage: $70-110k DOE.
Schedule: M-F.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner always.
  • Maintain a safe work environment that follows all state, federal and company regulations.
  • Performs complex analysis of samples following prescribed procedures with the ability to solve problems.
  • Performs complex analysis of samples following prescribed procedures with the ability to solve problems.
  • Maintains equipment, including outside vendor scheduling per maintenance contract schedules and suggests solutions to equipment problems and new/replacement laboratory equipment.
  • Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a neat and timely fashion.
  • Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors as a Lab Manager?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related science highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Prior supervisory experience (2+) is preferred.
  • Experience with QA/QC, Lab certification and production required.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading a NELAC, ISO certified program in a chemical for commercial Laboratory setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ICP, IC, and other laboratory instrumentation required.
  • 24- or 40-hour OSHA training.
  • DOT training is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport through regular conversations with staff.
